1. Pick your base!
The Ruscus (greenery) base will give you more support for your blooms while the wire base will be lighter to wear.
2. Pick the flowers that you would like to add.
We recomend using a good variety of large blooms, small blooms, and background foliage to give you good coverage where you want it.
3. Start gluing!
A note about floral adhesive: This stuff is STRONG! You don't need a lot in order to get the job done. A little dot will do for each flower you want to attach.
Once you get glue on the back of your flower it's important to WAIT until the glue becomes tacky (10-15 seconds) so that it adheres well. It might not stick if you don't wait for the glue to do its thing!
4. Repeat until you're happy with how your crown looks.
It's also a good idea to work in layers: Flat leaves to create a background, then bigger focal blooms, then little accent bits. But if you have another idea you want to try, go for it!
5. Add Ribbon!
Come see us at our table and we can cut whatever color ribbon you want to add to your crown.
6. Go chat with the other wonder vendors!
We'll label your crown and set it aside for you to pick up in 10 to 15 minutes, or on your way out the door. This will allow the glue to fully dry before you wear your crown.
Please feel free to grab Lexi or Greg if you need any assistance in making your crown! We're here to help!
